MY Triton’s Swimathon Fundraiser — To benefit The Clean Water Fund

We’re excited to share some updates about our Tritons Swim Team Swimathon fundraiser.

On January 28th, our team swam a total of 75,475 yards (that’s 42.88 miles!) and received pledges for donations totaling more than $9,000. All proceeds from this fundraiser are benefiting the Clean Water Fund, a national non-profit organization.

Our swimmers have almost reached their goal on the Razoo fundraiser page and have caught the attention of the directors of the Clean Water Fund. We were featured on their blog and received a visit from a member of their board following the fundraiser, as they wanted to personally say thank you to our swimmers.

Here’s a video, featuring Tritons Swimathon participants:

Our swimmers, parents, and community have been so excited about this, and so supportive – we hope to make it an annual event benefiting different causes. Just another way our MY community is giving back!

Most of our swim team swimmers are also After-School and Downtown Community Center Members – please feel free to tell them congratulations if you see them!

Thanks for all of your support!

MY Nutcracker 2016

Manhattan Youth’s biggest production of the year was performed at P.S. 89 last weekend. Almost 300 elementary After-School dancers performed 26 dance pieces spread out over 2 separate shows of “The Nutcracker.”

Huge thanks to all of the dancers and parents who helped make this happen.

And a big shout out to the Tribeca Trib for their great slideshow video of the show! Watch below!

Stay tuned for more information about purchasing the HD video of the entire shows.
