Register for Any of our Make a Mess Cooking Classes at the Member Price!

Our Make a Mess Cooking classes let kids learn best by making a mess! Our kid friendly kitchen is perfect for kids making tasty treats, savory snacks, or a little of both. Join either 10am for ages 1.5-2.5, or 11am for ages 2.5 -3.5, and let them get as messy as they want to. We'll clean it up!

Make a Mess Cook: Savory Snacks

Mondays: February 10 – June 15 (16 classes)

Session I: 10:00 am (ages 18 – 30 months, non-separated)

Session II: 11:00 am (ages 2.5 – 3.5 years, separated)

Price: $355 (Normally $475)

 

Make a Mess Cook: Snacks and Treats

Tuesdays: February 11 – June 16 (16 classes)

Session I: Tuesdays, 10:00am (ages 18 - 30 months)
Session II: Tuesdays, 11:00am (ages 2.5 - 3.5 years)

Price: $355 (Normally $475)

 

Make a Mess Cook: Tasty Treats

Thursdays: February 13 – June 18 (15 classes)

Session I: Thursdays, 10:00am (ages 18 - 30 months)
Session II: Thursdays, 11:00am (ages 2.5 - 3.5 years)   

Price: $330 (Normally $450)

Friday Nights at the Center: Fun for your kids, a night off for you

Family or Tween members who are currently enrolled in grades 1st - 8th are invited to join us for our Friday Night Program at the Center. This drop-off program meets from 6:00pm - 9:00pm and is designed to give our youth a great place to socialize and play on Friday nights, while their parents enjoy an evening out. Supervised by our talented counselors, our junior and senior division offer a little something for everyone, including a vegetarian style dinner!

1st - 3rd Grade: Junior Division 
Led by our Manhattan Youth childcare professionals, youth are invited to join us Friday evenings for a weekly rotating series of activities and themed events. Activities include but are not limited to: Swimming, Indoor Sports, Sculpting with Clay, Arts & Crafts classes, Digital Media, Counselor-led Games and Activities and Nintendo Wii tournaments.

4th - 8th Grade: Senior Division 
The Senior Division Friday Night Program is held on our Arts, Culture, Science & Technology Level. After a family-style meal together, participants choose from activities and projects ranging from Ceramics to Sports, Music Production to Web and Game Design, Open Art Studio, Swimming, Dodge Ball, Ping Pong Tournaments, Xbox Kinect Tournaments and more. They also have plenty of time to socialize and play games after a week of school.

Schedule
The Downtown Community Center runs in accordance with the Public School schedule. Our Friday Nights at the Center programs will NOT meet on holidays or breaks that school is closed. The program starts at 6:00PM and ends promptly at 9:00PM, so don't forget to pick up your kids on time!
