PS 276 After-School Program

Structure & Variety: The After-School Schedule

Welcome - At the end of the school day, classroom teachers dismiss all students registered for our program directly to our staff, who greet students with a healthy snack and a smile. Students eat and socialize with friends, decompressing from the school day and gearing up for after-school.

Club Time - The sports, arts, and enrichment classes that you select when enrolling your child in the program are taught by certified teachers, teaching artists, and activity specialists. Each day, your child is dismissed directly to our staff.  After a healthy snack, students will attend their main club session from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  After the main clubs, they will go to their enrolled Late Club or attend Choice Time activities, described below.

Before and After Class - Students choose from a list of structured and open play activities, set up by our team leaders. These activities include: study hall, gym sports, yard play, indoor games, arts & crafts, music, and more. This activity is built into your child’s daily schedule as a structured free play before and after their selected club for the day.

Downtown Community Center Options: Students at PS 276 may also sign up for classes at our Downtown Community Center (DCC) on Mondays and Wednesdays. Our team leaders will pick your child up upon dismissal and safely transport them back and forth on our bus to the Center.  See class list below.
