Manhattan Youth is excited to announce our FREE Mid-Winter Recess Vacation Camps for current middle school students (grades 6-8). We’ll be offering a variety of fun activities at 2 different locations. Registration will open on Sunday, February 1st at 6pm.

2026 Mid-Winter Recess Camp Details
Dates: Tuesday, February 19th - 20th 2026
Time: 9am-3pm
Film Camp
Location: MS104 Simon Baruch Middle School)
Address: 330 East 21st Street, New York, NY
Time: 9am-3pm
Students collaborate with teaching artists and peers to conceive, write, storyboard, shoot, edit and score original short narrative films. Students learn media literacy, writing, teamwork, problem solving, visual aesthetics, critical thinking, and computer skills. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants. Basketball Camp
Location: MS104 Simon Baruch Middle School)

Time: 9am-3pm
With an emphasis on community, preparation, and teamwork, players will be lead by our experienced coaching staff, to learn the rules of the game and develop their skills in a fun, interactive environment. They’ll watch videos on offensive strategies, defensive techniques, and learn team coordination. Coaches will guide discussions to analyze plays, sharpen focus, and identify areas for improvement in a supportive, judgment-free space. The players will be able to apply what they’ve learned in real time by participating in competitive team play.
Sports and Arts Camp
Location: MS297 75 Morton
Address: 75 Morton Street, New York, NY
Time: 9am-3pm
Students will choose from a full day of comprehensive, structured activities involving STEM, Literacy, physical activity, performing arts, Arts & Crafts, and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants.
